This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect information when you use ScaleVend as a seller or when you visit a store powered by our platform. By using ScaleVend, you agree to the practices described here.

2. Information We Collect

For Sellers (Dashboard Users):

• Account information: name, email address, phone number, business name
• Store configuration: products, pricing, theme settings, subdomain
• Payment details for subscription billing (processed via Razorpay — we do not store card data)
• Usage data: pages visited, features used, error logs

For End Customers (Storefront Visitors):

• Order details: name, phone, email, delivery address, items purchased
• Payment method (COD or online — no card/UPI credentials stored by us)
• Device and browser data for analytics and fraud prevention

3. How We Use Your Information

• To provide, maintain, and improve the ScaleVend platform
• To process orders and manage seller-customer transactions
• To send service communications (onboarding, order updates, invoices)
• To detect and prevent fraud, abuse, and security incidents

• To generate anonymized analytics for platform improvements

4. Sharing of Information

We do not sell your personal data. We may share information with:

• Sellers — end customer order data is shared with the respective store owner to fulfill orders
• Logistics partners (e.g., Shiprocket) for shipment creation and tracking
• Payment processors (e.g., Razorpay) for secure transaction handling
• Cloud infrastructure providers (e.g., AWS) for hosting and storage
• Legal authorities if required by law, court order, or to protect rights and safety

5. Data Storage & Security

All data is stored on secure servers in India or regions compliant with applicable data protection laws. We use HTTPS encryption, access controls, and regular audits. Despite these measures, no system is 100% secure — we encourage you to keep your account credentials confidential.

6. Data Retention

Seller account data is retained for the duration of your subscription and up to 90 days after account closure. Order and transaction records may be retained longer as required by Indian tax and accounting regulations (typically 7 years). You may request early deletion of non-mandatory data by contacting us at support@scalevend.com.

7. Cookies

We use essential cookies for authentication and session management. We use analytics cookies (anonymized) to understand platform usage. No third-party advertising cookies are placed. You can disable cookies in your browser, though some features may not work correctly.
